Academia accept orders online, by post or via email, fax or phone or via Integration to e procurement systems such as Sciquest, Oracle & PECOS. Payment can normally be made on Account, however we also accept a wide range of credit cards & payment by cheque.
Academia operate to a strict Service Level Agreement for the delivery and fulfillment of all orders and standard delivery is within 24 hours. If Academia is a preferred supplier or operates under a framework agreement to supply goods to your organization then SLA’s may differ. can raise & save quotes once you have a login for the Academia Online Store but will need to raise an Official Board Order manually that can be sent to Academia via post, fax or email. The Official Order can be attached as a file to the quote and the order transacted online, but this functionality will need to be enabled by your Academia Account Manager.

How do I order online?
(Please note if you are accessing Academia’s website via punchout to your e procurement system you need to login to your e procurement system first)
- From the Home page search for products by using the Browse Products box which is in Orange or use the search bar (top of page in the centre)
- You can browse by manufacturer or Industry
- Once you have selected your manufacturer or product click on Learn More button to see further info & pricing
- To raise a quote enter the number of items required in the box provided and click on add to quote
(Please note Tabs for platforms ie. Mac, PC, Maintenance Options)
- To view the quote click on “View Quote” on the right hand side under My Quote. Once the quote is open click on the Order Now button (Bottom right) to place your order. If you are working within an e procurement system the order now button may instead state “Return to ******* This will move the order basket back into your e procurement system.(At this stage if you are not a registered user of the site you will need to input your details to set up an account)
- If you do need to set up an account, once you have your login details, simply enter these in the relevant boxes (Top right) and once into the system click on quote history to locate your quote. Click on the view icon to open the quote.
- The final stage is the order summary page. From here if all is correct please select method of payment to complete your order.
How do I check the whereabouts of my software?
Upon receipt of you order we will email you a order confirmation which will provide an ETA. Please check that the delivery address you gave us is correct on the order confirmation.
If Academia does supply goods to you organisation under a framework agreement then a process will most likely already be in place to communicate the delivery schedule to your organization.
Please ensure to include VAT on your order and Carriage where applicable.
Academia operates with a standard carriage charge of £7 for software & £12 for hardware ex VAT. This will not always be applicable depending on the type of goods ordered and the agreement we have with your establishment. Under larger framework agreements it is unlikely you will recieve a carriage charge. If unsure please check to see the carriage cost on your quote or order confirmation.
