Academia National & Regional Frameworks 

Academia is a supplier under a growing number of Public Sector Framework Agreements.
Under EU Directive 2004/18/EC, public sector organisations are required to make use of Framework Agreements when spending public funds. We are finding that Purchasing consortia are now increasing sharing framework agreements in a bid to drive efficiency in the sector.




Buying Solutions – Software for Educational Establishments Framework
(RM 623) Oct 2008 – Oct 2012

Buying Solutions (formerly OGC) is the Government's leading procurement services organisation for the UK and a non-profit Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce in the Treasury.

The Buying Solutions Software for Educational Institutions Framework provides a vehicle for educational institutions throughout the UK to procure a wide range of software and related services including:

• Operating Systems
• Office Productivity, Misc. Application and Database
• Design, Development and Testing Tools
• Network Software, Security and Maintenance
• Utilities, Data storage and Management
• ERP and Management Information Software



HEANET - Framework Agreement for the provision of Mac OS operating Hardware & Software 
July 2010- July 2012

HEAnet Limited is Ireland’s National Education and Research Network, providing Internet services for more than 40 member institutions and over 150,000 staff and students in Ireland’s Universities, Institutes of Technology and other educational and research organisations, as well as almost 4000 primary and second level schools.



Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) - Framework for Desktop Hardware & Peripherals 
April 2011 – April 2013

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is owned and run on behalf of the Further Education Sector and represents the interests of in excess of 700 Further Education Colleges, Academies and Schools throughout the UK.

Academia was successful in its bid to be a supplier to the following LOTS;

Lot 2 – Laptops/Netbooks/Tablets
Lot 5 – Maintenance / Support
Lot 6 – Apple 



Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) - Framework for Software Licensing
April 2009 – April 2012

Academia is also a framework supplier to the CPC under their software Licensing Agreement covering broad based software requirements.



University of Nottingham – Framework for the Supply of Apple Equipment & Onsite Support April 2010 - April 2014 (Sole Supplier Agreement)
The University of Nottingham contract suppliers on Framework agreements for the supply of core goods & services. They were seeking a supplier of Apple goods and services that was able to offer competitive pricing, asset management, Onsite support & integration with the Universities eprocurement system – Sciquest



NEUPC – Framework for the Supply & installation of broadcast standard video & audio capture & editing equipment & integrated systems within higher education environments. June 2011 – June 2013
The North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) is one of several UK Higher Education Purchasing consortia. Utilising a partnering approach the NEUPC operates as a centralised structure of over twenty members.



Scotland Excel – Framework for Supply & Delivery of Education Software 
August 2009 – August 2012 Ref: 25/09 PC/3

Scotland Excel is the Centre of Procurement Expertise for the local government/authority sector in Scotland. Established in 2008, our remit is to work collaboratively with members and suppliers to raise procurement standards, secure best value for customers and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector procurement in Scotland. A full range of software titles covered by the framework is available upon request.
 


NIELB – Framework for the supply of Computer Hardware & Software using the MAC OS Northern Ireland Education & Library Boards Contract Ref: 50838 (Managed By SELB) Dec 2010 – Dec 2011 (extendable to 2013) Education at a local level in Northern Ireland is administered by five education & Library boards covering different geographical areas. This framework agreement provides a platforms for Schools, primary schools, colleges, universities & charities/Non profit’s in northern Ireland to procure Apple hardware & software.
