Academia is delighted to have worked successfully with Store van music to create the first Digital Orchestra of 24 iPads, all performing original music, entirely composed on the iPad. The project was initiated by Store Van music in partnership with by Academia’s Music Technology Team & demonstrates the use of the iPad as a revolutionary device within the education sector. The session was recorded in a school music lesson & edited to produce a compelling 4 minute video. The video show’s students in the school using Garageband, other built-in applications, and additional hardware including Apogee & M-Audio keyboards. As the video progresses it becomes apparent that the sound track to the video is the music the classroom of students are actually performing, all from an iPad !!!
