Talented Pixie, the creative software e-learning production company, have developed the Design and Video suites to meet the need for both teachers and pupils to be able to access training resources easily and quickly. These are particularly aimed at the new Media Diploma courses and cover software such as Photoshop, FInal Cut Pro, Logic and many more. Each suite contains over 100 individual training modules providing over 15 hours worth of material to watch and learn from. Each module is just 5 - 10 minutes long so you don't have to wade through hours of video to find what you want to know there and then.

Developed through Moodle it gives a familiar environment for education bodies to work with and also allows for the suites to be incorporated into existing Moodle sites if necessary. This means that projects and homework can be linked to the particular software course, a useful addition particularly for the Media Diploma.

East Surrey college have been involved and installing, testing and using the e-learning materials. Mike Nunn,IT adminisitrator at East Surrey College, has installed the suites and found them easy to use, "we found the purchase and set-up extremely easy and because it is on Moodle we have been able to build them into our own site as well."

Tony Leigh, a video lecturer at East Surrey College uses both suites to brush up his skills. He says, "I found the Talented Pixie training videos a very positive teaching aid for both students and staff on our practical media production courses. As a lecturer, it is always hard to find the time to attend outside training courses, and so the clear clear and concise nature of these tutorials have been an excellent all round teaching and learning resource."
